BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide derived from a sequence found in gastric juice. It is one of the most widely discussed research peptides in tissue-repair research and is frequently paired with TB-500 in recovery-oriented protocols.

Commonly reported dosing by vial size

Frequency: Once daily, subcutaneous (some reports split it into two injections) · Half-life: Short (minutes to a few hours, route dependent)

Vial size (4 sizes)

5 mg vial + 3 mL → 1.67 mg per mL

Diluent: bacteriostatic water (as commonly reported)

The 5 mg vial is commonly reconstituted with 3 mL.

Commonly reported reconstitution steps

  1. Vials are usually brought to room temperature (about 15-20 minutes) first.
  2. 3 mL of bacteriostatic water is added slowly down the inside wall of the 5 mg vial.
  3. The vial is swirled gently until clear, not shaken.
  4. This gives 1.67 mg/mL. Mixed vials are typically labeled with the date and refrigerated.

Storage

Before mixing: Sealed vials are commonly stored refrigerated (2-8 °C) and protected from light, or frozen for long-term storage.

After mixing: Reconstituted solution is commonly kept refrigerated (2-8 °C), protected from light, and not frozen.

Commonly used within 28 days of mixing.

How it works

Research suggests BPC-157 may influence angiogenesis and growth-factor signaling (for example the VEGF pathway), which are associated with tissue repair processes in preclinical models.

Researched for

  • Studied for tendon, ligament, and soft-tissue healing in animal models.
  • Investigated for gastrointestinal protective effects.
  • Commonly combined with TB-500 in recovery research stacks.

Notes

  • Dosing is typically expressed in micrograms, which are small volumes on a U-100 syringe.
  • Human clinical evidence is limited; most data are preclinical, so the amounts shown are community-reported rather than trial-derived.
